Was it snowing ash? Or maybe this ought to be called "ashing," if that were even a term. Why is he even giving it a name?
He didn't even know how he got here, or why there was a bird sitting on his shoulder when he found himself here. Well, a crow to be exact. One that refused to leave no matter what he did. Annoyed and bemused (he was an ex-Crow. Of all the things, or animals to greet him...it had to be a crow), he finally ignored it, only looking it when it tugged too hard on his hair.
In any case, the ash was annoying, coating everything in grey. He had long given up trying to brush it out.
'What is this place,' he asked himself, looking around in frustration. More disturbing was the question of how he got here when the last thing he remembered was thinking about all the trouble he probably got himself into

I AM SORRY TO KEEP YOU WAITING, BB!! <3longue_dureeApril 5 2011, 19:22:25 UTC
It was neither the voice nor the hailing that Lavi had been expecting, and he turned at once, his surprise showing on his face, "Inspector Link?!" He'd been so focused on the idea of making good time that he'd initially paid no mind to the other figure in the street, but now, upon the recognition, Lavi jogged over to him.
"Wow, I wasn't expecting to see you here!" He smiled, the expression somehow genuine and forced at the same time. He wasn't unhappy to see a familiar face, after all, but there was little about the current setting to make one feel particularly cheery. And besides, there was the matter of Allen and knowing that he'd been imprisoned by the Order--what that would mean where Link was concerned was something the junior Bookman did not yet know.
Lavi carefully gave no indication of that train of thought though, instead opting for a conversational, "You all right? Did you just--" he gestured vaguely to the space around them like he wasn't quite sure how to characterize the way it all happened, "--get here?"
IT IS FINE <3hawkeyed_crowApril 6 2011, 19:29:21 UTC
He nodded at the question. "Yes, I did. Wherever--" he gestured with a jerk of his chin "--"here" is." Because this was out of the blue and he was confused.
"...how long were you here? Is Bookman with you?"
Because the last time anyone heard from them, they had disappeared when Noah began showing up.
We head home this evening, so I should be properly here after that! <3longue_dureeApril 10 2011, 16:48:42 UTC
"It's called Nuadoria," Lavi offered as he stepped up beside Link and placed a companionable hand on his shoulder to steer him in the direction of the residential district. "People say it's a city on another plane. Best I can figure, we're not in our world at all anymore.
"Gramps isn't here, but Allen is, and so's Yuu. Lots of other people too, from all kinda worlds. It's only been about a day since I got here, but it feels lots longer--so much seemed to happen so fast.
"I can tell you about it, but right now we gotta go. I don't think it'll be safe to be out here much longer."
