[ giovanni has never really intended to get involved in the troubles or disputes of the magisters - and that's always been relatively easy. easier than he thought it would be.
from the start, he'd acted in his self-interests, faithful to her to the end, answering to nobody but her. (which, he remembers, caused the commodore so much ire - because he couldn't understand what motivation could be so powerful, perhaps.) and the magisters, for their part, weren't in a position to force hands. not when half the disasters could only be counted as interesting for people like giovanni, or a bit of light entertainment. once ammunition was freely available, he'd even started to settle into something like routine, punctuated by heine's presence, and briefly by lily. by those familiar visits, and the ringing of gunfire and the influence of the spine digging into his nerves and muscles, down to the marrow in his bone. that had been enough for him

Waiting so patiently, I see, Giovanni Rammsteiner.
[Belin, as polite as she can be, isn't the Magister that engages so casually with the foreigners. That's Dai domain and will always remain his with Belin having such little interest in the joys that the Fire Magister thrives on. Manipulation through communication of just about anyone and everyone isn't her guilty pleasure.
However, there are special individuals-individuals that catch her attention like no other-that she makes exceptions for. She knows well that the foreigners are fragile in their states (they might disappear before she even is able to notice their unique presence) within Nuadoria, and that keeps her away, unwilling to waste her time with such fleeting opportunities. Sometimes, however, a few have proved not only interesting, but stable in their stay here, as well. Did they understand, truly, what that meant? How special and important they were to the entire game, to Nuadoria itself, to herMost likely not

[To Zephyr, it doesn't matter what the problem is at the current moment, or whatever it is that everyone is doing in order to reverse the process. All that matters to him is to go back to his own world with Reanbell and meet Vashyron again. It's not so much different from what everyone else wants, except on one term-Zephyr wants to do it on his own time, his own schedule, in his own way. Anything that the natives are saying right now is trash, and he doesn't want to even consider bowing his head down to their whims or listen to their constant bickering left and right

[Regardless of what he's said to others, it will be possible to find this Magister wandering around the main floor. He blends in much better than he should with his suit and tie attire, but even so he's not too hard to identify if one's actually looking for him.
If he's not walking about on the main floor, you'll most likely find him sitting quietly at one of the side bars near the entrance, just outside the gambling area of the main floor. He'll be drinking, but slowly. (Meaning, the later you approach him, the less useful he'll be).
Any questions, concerns, or hints wanted are welcome to be attempted by talking to him (you can also contact him on the communicators, he has his on him). He won't ignore anyone, but how the question is asked and when (and even by whom, maybe) will affect the usefulness of the information.]

[Okay, maybe going upstairs had been a mistake. He'd expected to find a creepy empty room or corridor, perhaps without any lighting and maybe even something crazy such as a monster lurking around.
What he didn't expect was to find a massively large hallway with a girl covered in blood at the other end, terrified out of her mind.]
-What the hell...?
[Despite her pleas, he swallows hard and shakes his head. There's no way he can just leave her in that state! He starts approaching, only to get about halfway before stopping short.
He felt like something was following them. Ragna looks to the side, staring at his and Rachel's reflections in one of the massive mirrors, brow furrowing and his whole body becoming tense.]

[How predictable. Another failed mission of that bodyguard of hers, except their situation is not as simple as others would imagine it to be, hm? She lets out a haughty 'hmph!' at Ragna's expected reaction towards the frightened girl, looking rather bored at the entire situation.
This is beneath her. To be called out here, of all places, to share the same air as the foul creature behind them.
[Rachel's got the right idea, Ragna. WTF are you doing just standing there?
If he stares long enough in the mirror he's going to notice that something is coming towards him. Behind him? To the side? Wherever he looks he won't see it with his own eyes. But, in that mirror? There is definitely someone there. A woman.
She's approaching you (or rather your reflection), Ragna, and she's not unarmed. She takes a swipe at your reflection from the side. If it connects with your shadow, it will be happen to you, too.

[Heine wasn't exactly sure how he acquired a small group to go along with this, but that wasn't something he was particularly worried about at the moment. Instead, he's been slowly wandering the casino grounds, looking up and down (all the while avoiding the light security of the area) the sides of the building (--the windows, the bricks, the concrete--) until finally coming to stop at one particular area. His gaze fell, staring down at the ground before a grin curled onto his features.
Some ground windows, no doubt leading into the basement. Bingo. Just what he was looking for.
Crouching down he pressed against the window momentarily, trying to see through the glass what might be on the other side, but even with his heightened senses, it was all blackness. Finally he glanced up to Max and Albedo, motioning to the windows. It didn't take much brain power to know what the albino was suggesting.]

[She wasn't too sure how this had happened either, but it felt a lot like fate had it out for her. So of course she'd ended up accompanying Heine despite Giovanni's threatening attention, and of course Albedo had shown up and gone along. Even if he hadn't, Max would have still dragged the little trouble-maker with her. And even though all she can think is, these guys are going to totally get me maimed at some point, she knelt near the window not far from Heine and stared into the darkness beyond the panes, fully understanding his intentions.
Far be it from her to suddenly follow the law.]
You can't get much more excited to jump into a pit of unknown darkness, [which was pretty much not at all, but necessity was necessity] so we might as well get this show on the road.
