I joined especially to post about one user. serialadderinfo added me as a friend a while ago, along with adding some 700 other users. This person says he uses some sort of code (I know little of that stuff) to randomly collect usernames from the Recent entries list and add them. On his Info page and in his journal, this person quotes the TOS repeatedly, boasting ( Read more... )

It could be that I'm too naive in hoping that I could just avoid all the nasty people on LJ.

So you post on this community? Ha!

This community is full of all the nasty people on LJ. :)

I figured you were the people looking for loopholes in the rules. That's sort of what I was looking for, or atleast justificiation for not liking all the rules.
Of course, if serial adding was banned, there would have to be a limit to how many people you're allowed to add per day. That would suck, too, for some people.

Ah, well then you came to the right community. Except most of the people here aren't kind enough to actually help you with loopholes, or even agree with you for that matter.

These people are more interested in arguing and flaming than they are about LJ.

Actually, I take that back. The amount of half-decent comments you got to this entry is surprising! Did any of it help?

I didn't expect pats on the back and a warm welcome to the community. And arguing is a good thing, it can be constructive as long as it doesn't turn into mindless flaming. Flaming and spamming is not just immature, but they're the sort of things that make internet less usable. But it's immature also to assume everyone to be nice and cuddly, which might be something I'm often guilty of.

This did help. It was nice to hear someone's opinion, even though it was nothing new. 'Get over it' seems to be the general message.

Pfft, I learn it's just better to never post incriminating stuff anyways.

Yeah. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have 200+ people on my list. Maybe I would then feel important. Mostly I think it would be bothersome.

True :).

Although, what I meant by that was that it would be bothersome if those 200 people expected some sort of entertainment from me. If I, for instance, had added them all just to have more people on my list.
