I personally think it was just a very bad nightmare. At his age, everything that is... "uncomfortable" will feel even more painful because he has so few points of reference to measure it against. I am guessing he will be on edge for awhile, but eventually he'll be OK.

Long ago, I think I was 5, I had this nightmare that a mummy was after me, and trying to drag me into it's case with it. Freaked me the hell out! To give you some idea, for weeks I could not even go into the living room of the house because it contained a book about King Tut's tomb/treasure. There was an even worse nightmare when I's 4 involving a bulldozer devouring my entire neighborhood, but anyway...

The point is, I recovered and Kris will too.

That would very much freak me out. Children frequently see things that we as adults cannot see because we have been taught to not see them. I hope whatever (whomever) it is that he sees doesn't intend him any harm.

Get some white sage if you don't already have any and burn it in your house, making sure to get everywhere, going around the rooms clockwise... it will help protect and cleanse the house, ok?

And would a dreamcatcher help him? I've been wanting to make another one, and would more than gladly do one for him if you'd like.

Night terrors.....Oliver gets them too, he acts like he is demon possessed. He says weird things, looks around the room and it is very very strange. Oliver actually sleep walks when he has them and walks to where we are usually...and it is hard to know what to do or say. We usually tuck him back in, and try to sort of wake him- just talk to him, hold him...it is okay...I know exactly how you feel.

It would worry me a little bit...but it could easily have just been a really bad dream. I've woken up from bad dreams and it's taken me a while, even with someone else there, to realize that I'm awake and the threat is gone. Now...if he starts projectile vomiting and says he sees things when he's perfectly awake...then you have something to worry about, hun. ^_^
