Unbelievably, yesterday the builder of the house we were supposed to buy on *Monday* decided that he now does not want to do some of the things we had agreed upon in the contract. (e.g. replacing the broken sewer line) Even after we offered to pay for part of the repairs, they said no. So, we told them to go screw themselves, and now we are looking ( Read more... )

She was as shocked as we were. So was my lawyer. The sellers were being complete @$$holes the whole time, and we kept settling and compromising with them, and finally we just said forget it, we're done. Take it or leave it. And they said leave it. So, whatever. It's their loss.

The good news is, the market is so crappy right now, we should be able to get a good deal on a new house. Much better than the one we had with him.
