Yeah...well a veil I do not have...and I've been avoiding them! LOL I might have to see if someone might have a black one I could borrow...

I have a ginormous black dance veil that you might be able to talk into being okay. It might hang down real low on your back, but would probably look neat-o. I'll bring it just in case!

Ow! I'm glad you weren't doing something closer to your eye like taking out contact lenses!!!

Put Neosporin antibiotic creme on it, it will heal faster, although probably not quite fast enough.
