Book Love

We went to Manhattan this weekend to buy the kids new clothing.  So of course we had to stop at Buffalo Wild Wings and chow down on an early dinner, after all that shopping everyone was tired out.  Right across the street from Buffalo Wild Wings is the best ever used bookstore that I have ever been in, called The Dusty Bookshelf.  Josh and I love ( Read more... )

Yeah, Dusty Bookshelf is pretty much the best! Right across the street from that is Varney's University bookstore. The Christian Homeschool group in Manhattan has an art exhibit in there.

I read Don Quixote in 4-year Spanish, a good read.

We've never gone into Varney's because we thought it was just a university bookstore - do they have other stuff?

I haven't been in either yet, but the gal from the homeschool curriculum sale told me, she is the one that teaches the art class. I am going to venture in there just to see next time. I know one university bookstore I went in sold used books like The Phantom Tollbooth. (evidently there was a class using it as a textbook, and they had all the used copies) We got several hard cover books for like $5 a piece, and they looked brand new.
