Today: We are 7. We are going to baseball games, library functions and studying the stars, planets and moons. Last night I made a Dr. Sears recipe from The Healthiest Kid in the Neighborhood. I love this book, and I love the recipes in it. I cook pretty healthy food anyway, but to have a ton of extra good-for-us recipes (easy ones) at my disposal, - I just love this book. I read it a few years ago when we lived in Hawaii. Book Love
We went to Manhattan this weekend to buy the kids new clothing. So of course we had to stop at Buffalo Wild Wings and chow down on an early dinner, after all that shopping everyone was tired out. gone, going, gone
My dumb, horrible, mean, nasty dog ate all my garden plants. She didn't eat my bullnose peppers (bell), and she left my heirloom tomatoes (how sweet) mostly intact, but everything else, gone, gone....gone. At least I have time to replant. My plants are cute. No really, they are really cute. I never thought gardening would be so much fun. I never thought I'd be so intrigued.
A few weeks ago we planted broccoli, cauliflower, celery (which I've been told is tough to grow), 2 different types of tomatoes, 3 different kinds of peppers (hot, anahiem and bell), onions, basil, and oregano ( Read more... ) -
Happy 2nd Birthday to Livea.
Livea is 2. It's shocking in so many ways. She is so big and grown up. She speaks so well, and she listens really well. I don't know if it's that Josh and I have finally learned how to raise children, or if she is just easier to 'train'.

Why is everyone sick? I'm sick of sick!
We have been so sick for the past week and a half. At least someone in our house has had a cough, runny nose or ear infection. I thought it was all ending, and then Luke got sick. Great Wolf Lodge was really great. The kids had so much fun. Josh and I had fun too actually. I have pictures but I haven't taken them off my camera yet. It takes close to two hours to drive to Kansas City. About half-way there some voice in my head ( Read more... ) -

I'm laying on the couch. This feels good. Really good. Walking sort of aches. So does cleaning, playing with kids, and moving. Okay, it's really not that bad. But I am pretty sore. I didn't really even think about being sore afterwards. All I really thought about was getting to the end. Finishing. Which I did. Which I almost didn't do. ( Read more... )
