Today in response to a student calling my name to get my attention I answered "What up?" because I was on autopilot. His eyes got all big and he went, "You say 'What up?'?!?!" He was very impressed. I think.
That was possibly the only thing that went well today. -

Today is the last Monday I'll ever spend in Barcelona. And it went pretty well, I'd say.
We went up to Tibidabo, this mountain that overlooks the city and which has an amusement park on top. We took a train, walked a fair ways, and then took a funicular (I guess we'd call it a cable car) to get all the way up. It was worth it--we had some ( Read more... ) -

Today I went with two friends to a crowded little bar-restaurant thing in Barcelona that seems really popular with locals--it doesn't even have a sign to announce what it is! thus begins my last three weeks in barcelona
Somehow I wasted away my first afternoon and evening back in Barcelona doing next to nothing. To my credit, I did some housekeeping stuff, like unpacking, doing my laundry, and throwing away an old smooshy apple that I found on my shelf in the fridge.
