So yeah I've been in the process of quitting cigarettes and trying to get back into shape.

Went to the weight room in the dorm, though it sucks, and did arm, chest, and leg workouts.  Already noticing some improvements with the working out idea compared to the last time I was trying to get back in shape.  Biceps have gained better tone already ( Read more... )

sit ups, crunches. they actually work-- but i think you gotta do push ups as well to see major improvement

i started off with doing about 50 sit ups one day, then 50 push ups the next, and so on, now i'm up to 200, and i feel buff as hell lol

Well I'm doing pushups and situps daily, usually about 2 reps of 20 til I get into the groove of things ontop of other stomach work outs. Then I'll start adding extra reps once I'm back into full swing.

I'm more trying to lose a little weight before I worry too much about toning but I know certain areas on my body are easier to tone up than others...shoulders, arms, legs can tone within a few work outs...abs and chest where most of my body fat is takes forever. I'm shooting to lose atleast 20 - 30 pounds by May time so I can focus the summer on toning up fulltime. Then I student teach in the fall which means I'm back home by 4pm everyday and can work on bulking my arms up for strength.

Trying to get back into my "fighting" frame so I'll probably bust out my punching bag and start doing my boxing techniques, I had to put it up because I don't wear hand protection and my mom wasn't fond of me tearing my hands up on a canvas bag and bleeding a lot :/.
