Between Orkut, LiveJournal, MySpace, Facebook, and now Twitter.. I feel our attention spans are getting shorter. We joined LiveJournal to read meaningful posts about what our friends are up to. And now with Twitter, we're just looking for one line updates.. Facebook's status updates also support this theory ( Read more... )

I read an article recently about how social networking sites are taking the "excitment" out of class reunions. This is because everyone is already linked and if they aren't talking, they can at least see what they've been doing.

So there really isn't a surprise when you ask "What have you been up to?"

Odd huh?

Was that article linked off of Fark? Just having been to my 10 year reunion this past weekend, I'd have to agree. The people I do keep up with were there, and the ones I didn't keep up with.. there was a reason I didn't keep up with them.

We just sat at our own table and got wasted. Things have not changed much since high school.

No shit! Poor Avalon.. I must say The Estate kinda has an awkward setup. Liked the place, but not the layout. Now I just gotta get to the Underbar.

Want to REALLY be disgusted? Your MOM looked like that giving birth to YOU. All spread eagle, slime and blood coming from her... well, you know where.

Don't expect to eat dinner now. You can thank me later.

I honestly hate twitter for just that reason, I'd rather sit down and read a paragraph about someone than just a one line update... because I hate when people are vague. I'm too nosy, and get frustrated that I don't know everything about everything...!
