01. Been rewatching Doctor Who with my roommate, who has only ever seen the most recent series, with Eleven and Amy Pond. We just wrapped up Nine last night and we're finally on Ten and I am v. excited about it. I had almost forgotten how much I loved Rose. And Captain Jack. &hearts I'm wondering if I'll be able to get through "Doomsday" ( Read more... )

Skipping through comments because I haven't seen this week's episode of True Blood yet. But yay Doctor Who rewatch! I should do that one of these days. I just powerwatched BSG (curse you, Best Buy sales!) and now I have nothing to watch.

Also, I <3 Don and Lane's man-date.

That man-date was awesome, albeit gross thanks to the hookers haha.

Yeah I haven't seen some of those old Doctor Who's in so long I almost forgot what happened. It really makes you appreciate the newer seasons though...without all the Slitheens and whatnot haha.

EXACTLY. I'm slowly convincing a couple of my work pals that it's a show worth watching (this may be for entirely selfish reasons because I want a DW pal to watch the latest episodes with and not watch all by myself). I feel like that I'll have to start out by apologizing on behalf of the farting aliens.

I am thinking the same thing about Calvin Norris, I thought he was a good guy! If the only good guy of Hotshot isn't a good guy then...that town's going to suck more than it already did!

LOL the face Lafayette's mother made when Jesus came in the door was priceless XD

And yeah...Sookie and Bill don't bother me as much as everyone else, but I'm ready for some Sookie/Eric action, plz.

Read One Day by David Nicholls. Just finished it. read over 400 pages in just three days (that's never happened tome before!)

Oh I've heard of that book - is it kind of chick flicky? I was thinking about reading it but it seemed like it might be a bit too sappy haha.

I'm not a big chit-lit person. It's def not a chick-lit book. More lierary. Trust me! You wont be disapointed! In fact you might even love me afterwards! (probably.) but i dont wanna hype it too much!

(also, it's british. that's a plus right there.)

I've wondered that about Supernatural, too! It seems like a couple of brothers kicking demon ass would be something guys would enjoy, and yet I'm not sure that I've ever come across a guy who's a fan of the show. (I have a guy friend who watched it once and said he liked it, but I'm pretty sure he never watched it again.)

!!! I just had this conversation with a friend of mine. It just seems like THE show that guys would be interested in as well, and yet I don't think I know a single guy who watches it regularly. It's odd.

Yeah that's what I'm talking about! It's all about brothers and demons and Led Zeppelin and pie, how can guys not like this show? So far my friend likes it, although we're only 3 episodes in. I'm hoping he gets into it, I don't know anyone irl who actually watches it!

AH!!! I finished The Passage two weeks ago, and CANNOT stop recommending it to people. It's so freaking amazing. I gave my copy to my mom to read, but as soon as she's done, I'm going to read it again. I just LOVED it so much. It brought me to tears more than once. I loved how it could touch you one moment only to petrify you the next. Supposedly there will be (at least) two more books! I can't wait!!

True Blood has been great, though I'm getting so sick of Beel/Sookeh. Enough already, Alan Ball. How about doing SOME justice to the books' storylines with Eric/Sookie? Maybe? Please?

Holly is beat. Not how I pictured her at all, but I guess the good news is that her and Hoyt aren't really a possibility now, lol.

I heard there will be more books, that is so awesome!! I got farther into it last night, now I'm in the part that's like 17 A.V. and that guy Peter is going to kill his brother. I can't believe it jumped ahead like that!

I'm sure we will get some Eric/Sookie action, we HAVE to! I heard the season finale will be lots to do with the love triangle.

And yeah Holly is freaking scary!

At first, I was really pissed off that it skipped ahead because I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Wolgast. So I started off hating the Colony people simply because they weren't him. But holy shit did I grow to love (most of) them. PLEASE keep me/us posted as you go along; I would LOVE to discuss any and all aspects of that book endlessly.

And oooh, this news of the finale intrigues me. I hope the show starts to be a little bit more sympathetic to us Eric/Sookie fans because I feel like if they ignore it and keep pushing Beel/Sookie (barf), it's insulting to the book fans in general.
