Anyway, totally agreed on wishing they'd kept Ron's screams while Hermione was being tortured. That was such a strong moment in the book. Possibly the strongest. I remember feeling sick to my stomach while I read it. It really brings home how much these kids mean to each other, and just how awful the Death Eaters really are--especially since they're often portrayed kind of comedically (especially Bella & Pettigrew, but really most of them).
The change doesn't really make sense, either, since it wouldn't have changed much to have Ron screaming instead of just standing there. Bah!
I know, it's like...he's just standing there looking freaked out! As someone who was all about Ron and Hermione from day one, the fact that he was like GOING CRAZY for her always made my heart explode, and they didn't even do it. Sigh.
*I nearly started crying watching the scene in Hermione's parent's house. That was my favorite addition. *I wish we would have seen the painting on Luna's bedroom ceiling. I know it's not necessary for the plot line, but it just makes me happy. *I did not like that Harry still has no clue what the other horcruxes are. Shame on scene deletions in HBP for that!
Okay, but here's the thing--what was up with Bathilda Bagshot's house? Why was there an immaculate nursery through the wall? I got confused as to whether we were supposed to be in her house or the Potter house, but the Potter house shouldn't have a picture of Grindelwald and neither should have the nursery on account of the Potters' nursery being exploded and BB's not existing.
Totally agree with everything you said, especially - "I'm bummed they didn't have the sign outside Harry's house in Godric's Hollow with the messages people wrote him, like "Good luck Harry, wherever you are!" I always loved that."
I really wanted to see that statue of him and his parents, too!! I did cry during the graveyard scene but it was mostly due to my remembering the book and how emotional that scene was. Like when Harry is sad and wishes he was lying under the snow with his parents...SOB.
They better show Pettigrew's hand killing him, that was awesome! My bro pointed out that not including it was consistent with the movies because they have never mentioned the life debt on screen. Also, after seeing Fred stand over George while he was bleeding on the couch made me realize that I CANNOT COPE with what's coming for them in Part 2. FOR REAL.

omg ;________________; I KNOW!
I think you're right about the life debt, I mean they sort of showed it in the 3rd movie, but it was never made explicit, and I feel like people might be really confused about it!
