Damn, you manage to do some awesome stuff. I really wanted to go to Iceland this summer, but it was too expensive. :(

well, you haven't exactly been stayin put either...but you're right, iceland is crazy expensive--I was really lucky that my flight there was really just a 3 week layover on the way back from Finland.
Are you in Massachusetts?

We had a council member from last year who was sort of Icelandic - that is, here family is from Iceland, but her father worked for the UN, so she never spent more than a few years in any given country. She has no discernible accent - is this an Iceland thing or just her?

I think the no discernible accent thing might be pretty common in Iceland--they're just great at English, everybody knows it, and with the amount of tourism they've probably all grown up in almost an immersion setting....don't know for sure though. I was thinking of heading down to Massachusetts and seeing you both actually--just how busy are you Dylan?

My schedule varies wildly. In theory, I'm relatively unbusy (new word!) - I have only 3 classes, one of which is a dance class with almost no homework. That said, council takes up at least as much time as any class. The other factor is papers - there are some periods when I just have some reading and things are pretty good, and there are others when I have multiple papers due at the same time and I get busy. I should definitely be able to make time for you, though - just let me know in advance when you're coming so I can clear up the schedule (do work early or whatever).

Oh man, how do you even type in Russian? I mean, I know you can get the character set, but your keyboard is still displaying English leters...

Cool, my mom is going to come out here sometime late October and I thought maybe we could go say hi to you together, I'll let you know when the dates would be. (I'm almost never 'unbusy' too though, unfortunately). As for Russian, you just click the Russian flag under the light switch and then type what it sounds like with English letters, and it seems to work out.
