You could file for bankruptcy. It would fuck up your credit score, but you'd be able to keep the house from foreclosure. It's called Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankrupcy, I think.

She'd need to file then, or at least hire a lawyer to. There'd be some sort of retainer fee, but it would probably be cheaper than trying to pay everything off at once. And there's bureacracy to follow, but it is an option.
