See, I really couldn't get my head around this either. I thought it was SO weird that they had Sam saying all this stuff about Dean but that Dean didn't. That made no sense!

They could've made it less one-sided, have Dean yell at Sam for not being able to save him or a million other issues he probably has rolling around in his head somewhere.
EXACTLY. I'm wondering why they didn't. The boys have had all-out fights before where Dean really nailed Sam with the things he said. Why was it suddenly different when they were under a spell?
I mean really, Dean's "what's with you and banging monsters" comment was more mean than what he said to him while under the spell. It just didn't make sense!
Yeah you'll want to reeeaaallllyyy avoid the comms right now. I'm not bothering to read any reviews that don't have a "Sam-friendly" disclaimer on them right now.
That was not Sam. He would never ever EVER say that stuff about Dean's time in hell. Dean went to hell for him, and he knows that and feels awful about it.

The writers have just really let me down this season. It's like they were trying to replay "Asylum" without remembering that this time around both of them were supposed to diss the other. And that was taking it too far. I don't care how many times Sera Gamble interviews trying to explain Sam, if it's not evident in the show then it's just crappy writing. No writer should have to explain the show to the viewers.
The Sam bashing makes me cringe before clicking on review links. And it also keeps me from wanting to post on the comms. I think I'll just go watch some season one Sam and pretend season four is just a bad dream.
What annoys me the most is all the SAM BASHING!!! Some people just waited for that stuff so that they have a reason to bash him even more. God I am soo annoyed and I sure as hell don't understand how the writers can do this to him!!! I more than once had the feeling that they would rather replace Sam with Castiel!! THAT SUCKS BIG TIIME!!!
I totally agree! I just can't understand why so much of fandom hates Sam! I mean yeah I think Dean's the hott one, but the things he does just boggle my mind (and srsly, if I have to read one more comment saying that Sam was selfish to go to college Imma gonna explode). But I've thought for a while that Sam's storyline was more interesting, and that he's easier to relate to. And yet? No one likes him? Not even the writers?! I've been pretty fed up with this show lately, I was optimistic last week, but after this episode - jeez. I fear to see what will happen after hiatus.
