Dean's MO is always to greet anything Sam does that he hasn't pre-approved of with anger. One would think after a whole season of anger getting him nowhere he would take a softer approach. Bobby even TOLD him to. And he still didn't.
THAT is exactly why I'm so frustrated with Dean at the moment. I mean, he totally could've handled that situation a lot better than he did. I guess he got all emotional and stuff, but like you said, sometimes you just gotta sit back for a moment and think before you act. I wish that he didn't hit Sam after Sam hit him, I wish he would've just gotten up and stood there (with that emo tear! who would be able to say no to him?), and then Sam would've really felt bad, and maybe Dean would've gotten his way. But argh, DEEEAAAN. This is one of his major flaws, he's rash and impulsive, and when it comes to his family being in danger, he just can't think straight (I've always found it kind of funny how everyone says he's so unemotional, when really, he's probably the most emotional out of all the Winchesters
( ... )
I have given up trying to defend Sam to my sisters. I have always been and will always be a Sam!girl. Sure, I don't like what he's doing (and how both boys are being played by the "higher powers") but I know that Kripke will not ruin this for us.
