To be honest, I expected the epilogue to be more cheesy than it was. I wasn't too upset with it, but I did think that the Harry / Ginny, Ron / Hermione ending was a little too cliche and predictable. I agree with you that it'll be really.. weird.. with Dan / Bonnie.
It was the last sentence that actually irritated me the most. I was perfectly happy with the end of the last chapter. But when I read the last sentence of the epilogue, I flipped the page and was really surprised when it was blank on the other side. "All was well"? That's just dumb. >_> IMHO.
In my opinion, it was a good last book.. :D Especially parts where mysteries seem to finally MAKE SENSE!
But I must agree PoA is my fav. Hmm.. I should say. Finding out more about Snape was probably my favorite. I knew he was good :( Saddening, he died--BUT what a NOBLE DEATH!

People are saying that it represents the part of Voldemort that was in Harry, which died when Voldy Killing Cursed him. When I read it, I took it as a symbol of Voldemort's return to weakness because it was reminiscent of his weird baby form in Books 1-3.
