I'm back to first chair for the next white collar case.
I guess Maria, the new girl (well she's not so new anymore), had such a tough time sitting first chair for the first part of our contract fraud case, she's back to second chair. The trial was really elementary and a slam dunk, but she was careless with a witness and almost got a mistrial ( Read more... ) -

Brrr... I checked the weather and it's just below 30 outside... may as well be -30. It's gray, nasty and the snow is more like sleet. Yuk. I've spent all day cooped up inside all day with a blanket, hot tea and books. I was going to put up Christmas decorations but I decided that would involved getting up from my warm cocoon. After Megan passed out last night, I was drunkenly putting up the turkey decorations from the kids. In the process I knocked over a picture frame in my room, shattering it. It's official. I am no longer assigned to NYPD Special Victims Unit. However I haven't been fired or sent to night court (yet). I got promoted to Major Case.
I'll be working one last case with SVU to show Peluso the ropes. Not that it will help much... he's a good lawyer. That's not the only thing you need for SVU though. No matter how long I stay ( Read more... ) -

Casey pushed the stack of paperwork on her desk to the side so she could reach her keyboard. She opened up a new message and began to type. 'I had a lot of fun...' she typed, but stopped. Re-reading the message and shaking her head she deleted most of it and hit send. She wasn't sure what it meant. She wasn't sure why she was sending it at all.
