I wasn't expecting that Bill would take custody of Jake. Anyway, let's not get into that debate again :D

Hahaha! Carolanne got snubbed! What in the world happened in their marriage that she could possibly be so deluded about Bill?!

I'm a wee bit nervous about what Saul & Elosha might get up to...or at least just Saul. I hope he doesn't get himself tossed in jail for trying to take Carolanne off (not that I would begrudge him the desire).

My heart goes out to Laura. Coming home to a lonely house. Not even a treat from Cook. But she sure is determined. Just hope she gets ready to deal with Zarek again. Cause a two-bit chippy isn't all she's up against.

Oh and George Bell...couldn't help but picture a Sean Allison type...uh oh.

I see Caroalanne living in a bubble for most of their marriage. I'm not sure if I think of her as deluded or just that she'd never taken any notice of him. She's a little bit on the self-absorbed side. *snort*

Saul and Elosha tossed in jail?! mmm...will have to think about that...

Yes, Zarek hasn't gone anywhere yet...where's a firing squad when you need one?

Poor George. He's not that bad. There is only room for one horrid!Sean in this universe.

I don't think Sean is horrid (though, yes, slightly pathetic). I think Sean is rather hunky looking (though not when standing next to Bill). I pictured Laura at the club with a good-looking young man on her arm to make Bill jealous. It is a time honored tradition, after all.

Laura's ready to fight for her man. She could probably do with a Sean right about now!

OMG Carolanne is Ellen all over again!!! Ellen was at least into booze and sex so Saul got to have a good time while being stomped on like a bug - but Bill - Holy Shit man grow a pair!! He would never let Laura be a bitch like that why is he letting Carolanne? Guilt? Duty? A combination of both? It just doesn't seem like enough to make him do this. This woman LEFT HIM AND THE BOYS (does anyone really believe the 'no memory' story??). I wonder what is finally going to break the back of this man when it comes to this $&*(#$* woman. Saul needs to go to Mexico to find out the truth. If Tom Zarek can find her, Saul can find out the truth of where she has been. She couldn't have been in a very good place since she came here to get the money ( ... )

It just doesn't seem like enough to make him do this. *hugs Bill* We are using his sense of duty to the hilt in this plotline, otherwise there would be no story! I think there is also a sense that he gave into Carolanne to some extent (we did have him hiding the money from her in an earlier fic) which has become a habit. I imagine he did it for the boys' sake. I'm sure though, that he won't let her lead him around completely by the nose. That's for Laura!

Will Carolanne take Laura's offer? Will Saul go to Mexico? Tune in to see! :)

Oh geez, poor Bill and Laura. I can't wait to see how this gets resolved. Her walking in alone -- so sad! :( And I'm glad Bill's not going to try to even share a bed -- at least he's got his feet on the ground in that respect.

But on to the important stuff: Saul and Elosha!!! My love for this new ship knows no bounds -- and there was *gasp* hand holding!!!! *stars in eyes*

Poor Laura but what ever happened to the Laura who threatened Bill with "If you move out of my sight ever again, I'll take one of my father's elephant guns out of storage and hunt you down." I feel bad for Bill too but I have no confidence in mopey-business-woman-Laura handling this! I want slightly!scary!Laura to emerge. Everyone always seems to underestimate Laura until she goes into fierce balls-to-the-wall mode and then even the most hardened criminal can't help but soil his underwear in the presence of this Laura!

And Carolanne is so awful yet I still find her entertaining. You'll probably kill her off but I hope you don't. Maybe I'm a sadist but I want to see her suffer and then suffer some more!

Elosha/Saul! are too, too cute!

I don't think Laura's locked in her bedroom crying just yet! I think she might be still in that 'this can't really be happening' stage. I'm sure Taking a Break... or Blood on the Scales Laura will turn up sooner or later. I can just imagine fierce!Laura freaking out everyone but Bill. ♥

Carolanne wasn't in canon quite long enough to have to keep her in character while writing, therefore, we can make her as deliciously wicked as we want really. We just have to ensure she isn't too over the top as to make Bill completely dumb.
