A recent issue of Entertainment Weekly had one of its feature writers caling American Beauty the single-worst film to ever win Best Picture at the Oscars. I was flabbergasted and angry as fuck.

I've heard about those CDs before, and to be honest, was almost tempted to pick up the X-Men one (cause, really, all the X-Men comics, awesome). However, while 30 bucks is a good price, I need to start working on saving up some cash so I can make a deposit on the new place (when I find it) as well as pay for a few wedding things.

Still though, pretty swank.

I totally agree with you about crash. Awesome movie. I'm glad you found more comics, is it any cheaper to get them on cd or are you still going to buy them on paper for the collectiblity?

Is it any cheaper to get them on CD? That's the whole point. Your average comic today costs about $3. Back in 1963, they cost ten cents, but a comic that is that old can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars now, depending on availability and condition... So roughly speaking, a collection of every Spider-Man issue, 1-500, could cost as much as [thinks]... $50,000? That's probably a lo-ball estimate, but you get my point. Since I collect comics for their reading value, and not so much for their monetary value, I'm very excited about getting those 2000+ classic comics for the ridiculously cheap price of $140, rather than the roughly quarter of a million it would cost me to buy the paper versions... and that's not even calculating in how much time and effort would have to go into locating them all.

If I sounded irritated in this response, I'm not; I just like to babble on about comics on those rare occasions that I feel someone is actually listening. :)

Incidentally, I just noticed your icon is Lucy Pevensie... that rocks!
