Life of the party, that's me.

Since my birth control pill schedule was interrupted by my stomach flu, I have basically had cramps/PMS for about three weeks now. I am swinging between depression and complete bitchiness. You can imagine what a joy I am to be around. I'm just not really fit to be around people.

Just some random things that have been going on, in bullet form because ( Read more... )

That sucks TONS! I was once a big fan of the nuva ring, which isn't impacted by vomiting, but I assume you've already figured out what birth control works best for you.

Apparently DC does the same thing with the water, starting today, so, maybe I'll be sharing your frustration soon. I've been a big fan of the DCist for telling me these sorts of news (and public transit closings, and my supermarket closing, and when parking laws change, etc.) Maybe you have a hyper-local news blog too?

I have a great deal of respect for the self-sacrifice of Lent, in general. But did you have to give up a FOOD? Haven't you had enough trouble feeding yourself the last year or two?

I considered nuva ring, but my doc diagnosed me with PMDD. The bc I am on now is the only one that treats PMDD. And when it works, it works really well. The problem is if I miss a day, things go downhill rapidly, and I missed about a week ( ... )

Oh, millet. I know about millet. That's what Natalie's birds eat.

Good luck with feeding yourself and with adjusting to the chlorine-y water and with re-adjusting to your birth control schedule!

All my sympathies to your birth control (and flu!) woes. Many hugs. <3

I'm a bit of a princess about my water, to be honest. I buy spring water and that's all I will drink. Tap water offends my innards, and I do mean literally. I imagine I would probably have a reaction, as you did, to the "undetectable" changes. If it makes you feel any better? Haha. And I agree... How about a warning BEFORE you mess with the water?

I'm sorry about your laundry. :( I had a pen infiltrate a huge load of my laundry once, and it just sucks to have half your wardrobe ruined in one go. Ugh.

I'm excited for Game of Thrones as well! I bashfully admit that I have not read the books before, but they're on my reading list right now! I promised a friend I would read some of Brandon Sanderson's works, so I have to blaze through those first. I'm getting a slow start, sadly. (I've been on codeine for the past while thanks to a horrible bout of bronchitis and it has made reading almost impossible.) Anyway! I'm glad I'll have at least one person to geek out with ( ... )

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I usually drink filtered water at the house. There isn't a whole lot of mineral content in our water supply anyway, so I haven't had a problem before. I am really sensitive to chemicals in general, though, so this is driving me crazy!

The laundry thing does suck. I can't really afford to replace the shirts, but I don't really care if my bras have some extra character. It looks like alcohols remove the dye from the benchtop in the lab, so I am going to try to get some of the stains out with some isopropanol at home. Or ethanol. My roommate has an old bottle of gin lying around somewhere. :P

I blazed through Brandon Sanderson's books last month! I was going to write up a post, but then I got sick. Being sick is horribly distracting! But if you need someone to geek out with about books, I am your woman! I am on Goodreads (http://www.goodreads.com/kerita27), but I am just terrible about updating.

Good luck with the stains! It would be great if they came out. I agree about the undergarments, though. Not as big a deal as the outerwear!

Aww, I'm a month behind! Haha. Being sick IS really freakin' distracting. Especially when it comes to reading. "I'm going to read a few chapters" easily becomes naptime. :x

I've added you to my Goodreads friends. Yay books! ^_^
