I just got the strangest voicemail on my home phone from my district GOP chair. He wanted Mr. My Last Name to volunteer at the polling place for the primaries. Thought the first: It's a shame that I don't have a twin brother. A whole avenue of posing as my brother shenanigans was just closed off from the start.
Thought the second: *looks down* On the other hand, my not so subtle boobs would probably have put a stop to such shenanigans fairly early. -

The post doc over in the flex lab spent 30 minutes complaining that the autoclave gloves were missing and how no one ever puts things back. New undergrad was vociferously agreeing with him. Lucinda went into the shop Friday night. It seems that one of her catalytic converters is busted. The accompanying oxygen sensor may also be compromised, but the mechanic wouldn't be able to test it until the converter was replaced. I am not dead, just even busier than usual. I have been working 10-12 hour days every day for the last month or so. I have a conference coming up in the first week of May. Since my birth control pill schedule was interrupted by my stomach flu, I have basically had cramps/PMS for about three weeks now. I am swinging between depression and complete bitchiness. You can imagine what a joy I am to be around. I'm just not really fit to be around people.

It's finally March. Checking in.
For the shortest month of the year, February sure sucked. I must apologize for my general absence. It turns out that I did not have the stomach flu. I had some sort of bacterial infection.
