the eagle (pseudo marcus/esca)
1,337 words. pg-13. a collection of scenes in which marcus is captured by the esca the sky pirate. oblique references to rape. written for the ninth_eagle fanmedia challenge, for the airship picture.

Nicely done. Very evocative and full of telling little details - and with the constant undertone of violence giving it a sharp edge. Now I want to read all the scenes in between these... as well as the ones that follow...

This was wonderful! I really liked how the different scenes only gave glimpses of the full story and of how the relationship and the dynamics between Esca and Marcus evolved from the anger and animosity of the first scene to the strange tenderness that permeates the final sequence, albeit mixed with continued resentment.

I would love to read more from this verse!

thank you! I wish I'd had more time to write more scenes, but I was afraid that it might get epic, in that case. maybe one day I will fill in more of the gaps!
