:hugs: I am *profoundly* shy. As are some people who you might not expect to hear describe themselves that way.

I would be happy to chat with you about some of my coping strategies, though I know they won't all work for you.

I'll be in the Lists Pavilion all day - but we can always use a couple of grown-ups first thing for list-paging and traffic control.

Cool. What time do you need the help? I'd totally be up for lending a hand. I used to work gate all the time back in Caid, so I'm good at traffic control.

Actually, it's traffic control directing fighters to their proper sign-up sheets after the challenges. When the huge cluster starts to hit right after invocation is when we *need* somebody, but if you can, please pop by earlier so we can get acquainted.

I'd offer to do virtual introductions to some spiffy Westerners but you seem to have one already popping up.

I absolutely feel your pain. Matt and I have been to two fighter practices here in fifteen months. I'm finally stepping out and going to a scribal workshop on Saturday. I'm scared out of my wits. What if the people here are dorks? Seriously?! I miss Caid :(

Which scribal workshop are you going to? Our darling Chancellor of the College of Scribes, Eliska (known in LJ-land as milfbowling) is most certainly not a dork. She is sweet, kind and talented. Talk to her. Really, she's nice.

I'm in Northshield, so I'm going to a scribal workshop in Windhaven (Neenah, WI). I'm looking forward to it. We went to a business meeting about a year ago, and while there were a few "well actually" folk, most of them seem very nice and un-dorky. I just loved my Caidan friends so much, and these new folks have big shoes to fill!

Oops, sorry. I should not have assumed you too were in the West like the original poster.

Hi there. I friended you because you friended me, but I don't know who you are. If you do decide to go to Crown, let's fix that. Find me and introduce yourself. I promise not to bite. However, I might try to feed you something :-)

Duquessa Juana, may I present the talented Lady Adelheit. You both share an interest in Renaissance costuming. Adelheit is apprenticed to Master Giuseppe down here in Caid. Since Juana is carpooling with Branwen, and I'll have cake for Branwen, please feel free to use my booth as an extra home. Both of you.
