There's really no point bothering with the Extremis uplink here -- the network's too small for it to be of any real use. It's convenient for checking messages and the likes, but there's no news feeds, police bulletins, Avengers commlink for me to be constantly in touch with. It's just so...quiet here. Quiet in the sense that there is no electronic chatter. When you can access the Internet, satellite networks, news feeds, and police radio bans with your brain, then come to this place, everything seems a bit quiet.

It has been quiet for the week. Every once in a while, the owls like to cast curses on us. Sometimes, a few of us are spared, as I have been this time. I'm assuming that's what's causing the quiet.

I've lived in Edo and Kyoto all my life, but I suspect my "big" and your "big" are on a different scale. By all the accounts I've heard, times changed a lot in the century or so after the last point I remember.

Ah, sorry -- Yes, I suppose we are talking about quite different scales here, both of size and technology. My Extremis powers work by using a large amount of technology you did not have in your time, and it's the lack of this tech that makes this place feel so small to me.
