To the HIMYM fans that question why we haven't met the mother yet OR those people:

An Idiot's Guide to HIMYM:

1. HIMYM is abbreviation for How I Met Your Mother. Pronounced HIMYIM

2. There is NO scenario that you can come up with where Robin is the Mother. Deal with it. The writers have said many times starting with the very first episode that she is not the Mother, she is Aunt Robin. Again I say DEAL with it.

Yes to everything you said here, especially 5 and 7. Anyone who is a real fan of the show should understand 5, and people who want Barney to stay as he was in S1 clearly don't know what character development is.

1. - Does this actually confuse people?

But anyway, thanks for saying all of this. Lord knows, someone had to.

I don't know about #1, but I thought in case there were a few Nicks reading this I might start with that. ;)

Though, to Nick's credit, even he understood that Barney and Robin are in love - something half the fans of the show can't seem to comprehend.

"You are one of those people that like to skip to the end of the book to see how it ends."

Speaking as someone who may have done this once or twice in her life, it's even more ridiculous than this for HIMYM. We KNOW how the freaking story ends. He MEETS THE MOTHER. Shocker. If you're watching it to see him meet the mother, when the entire premise of the show is that he hasn't met the One- the Mother- yet, then you just have a very different definition of "watching a TV show" than I do.

Nicely put entry. People can be- um- how do I say it.... stupid. Or uninformed, which there's nothing wrong with (I'm not saying everyone should watch it religiously every week) but WHY GO ON THE INTERNET ABOUT A SHOW YOU'VE BARELY SEEN HALF A SEASON OF?????????????????????????????

I seriously don't understand.

I have done it a few times too. And yes that bugs me too, when if they hate it that much, stop reading fansite materials and commenting! UGH
