This is a pretty nice site if you are ever trying to travel with a frugal spirit.  Perhaps it's just good because it allows you to interact with the local culture in a deeper fashion.  At any rate it's a great idea and a nice expansion on the social networking scene.

I am going to Europe in six weeks.  I may never return.  Flying into Munich, hanging out there for a few days and then I am off to Florence.  I may have a job lined up building stage sets for international touring acts.  I will be climbing scaffold, running wire and hanging lights.  Apparently it pays well and apartments in Rome are fairly cheap.  ( Read more... )

Some fairly good news in the prevention of cervical cancer.

Cervical Cancer Vaccination.  It doesn't prevent all forms of the disease but it has proven effective in cases related to HPV.  They aren't sure if it will be effective against women who already have HPV but they are still optomistic (at the very least it will provide greater understanding ( Read more... )
