Seriously, go listen. A couple of composers decided to take this danish word that means "complaints choir"  litterally. They got a grant from the University at Birmingham to explore it and this is what came out of it. I listened to it after a long day at school and it made me feel a LOT better. Hope it works for you too!

What I’ve been doing lately…

• Martin Luther King Jr. weekend I spent at Augie for the Honor Band. My students enjoyed it and want to go back again next year.
• The 25th-28th of January was IMEA. I learned some stuff, but was really tired all weekend long.
• February was kind of dull except for the trip to Chicago. Got to do lots of stuff. ( Read more... )

As some of you may remember from my previous post, Jeanie and Eric traveled with us to mom and dad’s for Christmas. It ended up being a good plan. It made it so much easier to have everyone together. Christmas is upon us once again. I got done with school yesterday at 11:10. I had enough time in my day to teach fourth grade, first grade, second grade, and be supervising presence in the eighth grade. At 11:30, the school board bought us lunch and we revealed our pixies.
