Your heart cried out in the loudest way possible. You want them to love you and be excited and tell you they will be there the next day. Isn't that what we all feel might happen someday? Sometimes that's not the case.

When I met my birthmom she said something very profound to me. She said I was her pain to bear. Up until I had found her only my birth mom and dad knew. The situation was sad. She was forced to give me up under false pretense, but I was her third kid and she was in her first month of her 21st birthday. Before she would talk to me she had to announce to the entire ginormous family I have now and go to those hurtful places and the ways and the ways it was. The family loved her back, my Mother processed the pain she needed and she's the best Mom I've ever had in my life. I just wish I could have found her sooner. Everything happens for a reason. Don't assume it's you, they might have their own issues to hash out and to let go of their pain too. Just keep sending letters, don't ever stop. They will come around. Chin up.
