I was going to post my thoughts about the match tomorrow, but who am I to deny the clamour of my public?

Anyone who thinks I'm not fucking ecstatic about our team winning the World Cup for England after a 160-year losing streak can piss off back to whatever hole they came from. There's no shame in our team wishing the match had gone on longer ( Read more... )

I was grateful for the short game. I didn't mind ten hours of quidditch last weekend, since there are some things you have to do at least once in your life. But twenty hours of quidditch in two weeks might have been too much for a quidditch novice like me.

In any case, congratulations! You should be proud!

Thank you love. We all are.

We'll just have to ease you into longer games then. Good thing the Falcons are't playing the Magpies until later in the season.

Pass my congratulations to everyone, please? It was nice to meet Casca and Aurelia, too.

And oh, is it going to be a team effort? Or is that the Pluralis majestatis?

Hey, glad you could make it, Padma. And thanks for the congratulatory wishes.

You've every right to be annoyed, Adrian. I've never been to a more boring Quidditch match in my life, and it's just like Potter to make another pathetic grasp at glory after all that's happened. Your coach should have expected it, really.

But congratulations, all the same. Your assist was quite impressive.

I'm very glad you were there, Pansy; and very sorry you made all those arrangements for nothing, essentially. I'll find a way to make it up to you, though. Your efforts should never go unrewarded.

Oh it wasn't any trouble really. My parents were happy to see Tiberius again, and Draco and I popped up to Paris for supper. It was a lovely day at the end of it all, despite the Cup debacle.

I'll be interested to see what you come up with though.

Oh shut the fuck up Pucey. No one cares what you think.

And yet here you are.

I didn't realise you were offering your support, Pucey. You might've made that clearer at the outset. Or perhaps I should have just known to expect generosity from a noted philanthropist such as yourself.

I should have thought the abrupt change in attitude and general civility would have indicated as much. Don't tell me you really wanted to go carousing with us or some other kind of bonding thing?

Sure. Let's have a pint sometime.

Why not? Zachypuff has asked more than a few times why we don't come down to the Banshee more often. He claims it has nothing to do with wanting to boost business but I suppose we'll see.

I'm sure you can live three weeks without Quidditch.

I was thinking you should go too. We'll enjoy it.

I'm not the one who's worrying about life without Quidditch for three weeks.

Nothing to do with worrying. Just hate to go so long without a good workout on the pitch.
