Long overdue update

Aug 05, 2008 23:33

There aren't enough hours in the day to do everything I want to do, but I manage to shower most days, and Bear and I have settled in to a pretty consistent routine. We get up and dress him for the day at around 9. He eats breakfast then, and again at noon, 3, 6, and 9, with playtime and naptime in between feedings. I have to either hold or wear him ( Read more... )

Thanks, Sarah! I'm kinda frustrated, because he's actually even cuter in person...the pictures really don't do him justice.

He is tooooo stinkin' cute!!!!

I specificly remember when I posted about Addesyn's first assplosion and you were very upset at the thought of a child pooping on you..lol welcome to motherhood!

I'm glad you updated. Sorry for texting you. I know you're busy and all. But dang it, I got worried about you! How are you feeling lately? It's funny how your body can get used to sleep deprivation isn't it? I don't miss sleep at all anymore (And addy sleeps through the night!) But my sleep schedule is still screwed up. (hence the reason it's 2 am and im on the computer while my darling dd is sleeping). Anyway, you look fantastic!

Addesyn started drooling alot around 7 weeks as well. I asked the doctor about it and he assured me it wasn't teething. He said their mouths are just starting to make more saliva, and they spend more time exploring with their hands in their mouths/mouths open longer and just drools. So, apparently it's normal!

Thanks, Manda! LOL, I remember Addy's assplosion, too. It's amazing how *not* grossed out I was when it finally happened to me. I mean, it was definitely icky, don't get me wrong, but I wasn't as freaked out as I expected to be. And there's no reason to apologize for texting me...it was just the kick in the butt I needed to get in here and update! I'm doing okay, but I just don't have the time I used to for stuff. Most days, I consider myself lucky if I get to shower and eat. That's good that the drooling is normal. I'm not ready for my baby to grow teeth yet!

I learned about the drooling in a nursing class a few weeks ago.

So babies when born don't have active salivary glands. Near 2 months of age they start to function and babies often start drooling a lot then since they aren't used to having to swallow their saliva. He will start to out grow this in the next few weeks.

He is adorable!!
