Too many needle sizes?

I recently made a really lovely pair of fingerless gloves, and I'm in the process of writing up the pattern, and wanted to get some opinions on a technical issue ( Read more... )

I'd prefer the attention to best fit and detail even if it includes 3 or 4 different needle sizes. As an advanced knitter so to speak, and as I've been knitting for over 10 years I have acquired a large needle collection and probably wouldn't even have to make any special purchases for a project like that.

Yes to all three sizes (with purpose), but could I also put in a request for either a metric translation or a clear statement of which sizing system is being used.

I've had a lot of my patterns published, and I agree with everyone else. It shows that you have given a lot of attention to detail, and my confidence level in the pattern would actually go up if you listed all three needle sizes.

I'd just be up front about it (include in the web-preview/ first bit of information printed)... and there's nothing to be angry about -- It may deter someone from purchasing that pattern-- but I'm guessing they would read the multiple needle size notice and understand that the pattern is more advanced...
