Having won the war (for now) with NHL, I've been charged with cleaning up the battlefield, and it's been a messy business. In and out of hospital twice in the last month for assorted pings, pains, wheezes, woes, itchy bits and ickiness. And in between campaigns just generally in such low spirits as to avoid contact with other humans

It's nice to hear from you. Tomorrow I get the new pen. Jaxon? It's not something you can cure. The Varsity fountain pens are OK. The new one is actually a rollerball with a converter on it for liquid ink, like a fountain pen, so you can refill it any time you want. It comes with extra ball ends as well. It's, in a word, fascinating. So, I had to go spend...far too much money on it. I'll let you know how it does.

BTW: not melting at all the last few days. Today, in fact, it's not even going to hit 80 degrees! I just wish it would rain in my part of town. The mountains make "localized showers" more localized than I've ever seen in my life.
