I have thick pads of callus across my palms, on the outside edge of both index fingers and the inside edge of both thumbs, where the pressure is in my grip. The tips of my fingers are hardened--not quite callused, but rough. My fingernails are short, blunt-cut with clippers. I don't file, manicure, or paint them; there would be no point.

I'm getting married in three days.

My mother home-schooled me through most of elementary school. I was a somewhat intractable student, as far as I remember, mostly because I didn't deal well with frustration. I've just signed up for my GRE. As of right now (or really, tomorrow, when I go and buy $200 of test prep materials) I am re-entering the world of academics. Only took me six and a half months to break.
