I'm HOME!!! I'm in VA, in the US..yeehaw!

Well, I fly out of Iraq tomorrow, late afternoon! To Kuwait, for two days then GA via Amsterdam. One day in GA then to DC..love you all....call me on the 22nd!

As of this particular moment, I have ten days and thirty minutes until I am back in VA. At this moment, the love of my life is in Baghdad, trying to call me and our phones are not working, damn it. Have you ever made a decision that you knew was going to change your life? I made mine yesterday. A foreign company offered me a two year contract to stay in Iraq and be their Operations Manager, based in Speicher (the base I am at now) but overseeing all of Northern Iraq. Allowed to come home twice a year.

I accepted.

WOW...I am happily surprised and definitely blown away. John got his divorce papers signed in GA, saw his kids and then drove to VA to be with my Mom and Grams!! They are having a great time and I am just in awe that he really did it. He is one of the most wonderful men I have ever known and continues to surprise me.
