"I'm going to kill you all kinds of dead."

I just saw Twilight with cellibella, thuri and Corli, and ah hahahahaha.

Now, everything I learned about Twilight, I learned from cleolinda, with a side helping of Breanna and the crazy lasses over at Twatlight, so I went into this for the lulz, not any real interest in the story (which I could rant at length about, given what I've heard ( Read more... )

I have not seen Twitanic, nor do I intend to, and nor have I ever met Cleolinda, but the fact that she went to my college is almost enough for me to consider not wiping it off the face of the earth. Because she saved me from having to actually pay attention to these pictures/books at all, and that is a great and noble service ;]

Ok "Twitanic" just beautifully summarizes my reaction to this film. Yes, I'm afraid I'm going to have to steal that and use it on a regular basis.

*grins* It sounds like seeing it in a group is a lot of fun. I think I'm going to have to wait for Netflix because Neil won't touch the movie with a ten foot pole. He did read Cleolinda's version of it, though, and occasionally goes around muttering "glitter" with a pained look on his face.

I've actually read all the books since they made good mindless airplane fare in the past few months. They were objectively awful, for the most part, but I admit that they ate my brain and were hugely engrossing while I read them.

I read the book for my fluffy book club, so some of us from the book club saw it together. My expectations had been sufficiently lowered so by the time I saw it last week, it met my expectations. We laughed at sooo many places, it was fun! What I also found interesting is how the different people in the theater (there were not more than 10 others in there, all adults, too) laughed at different times. And hearing the others laugh when I didn't then made me laugh. =)

scoreboard's second cousin's wife works in a high school as a counselor and has finally chosen a favorite student (a guy) who replied to a girl's moaning about not being able to find an "Edward Cullen" with "that's because he's a FICTIONAL CHARACTER. HE DOESN'T EXIST." Ahhh, you smart boy, you. These high school girls are not worthy of you ( ... )

PS: Against my better judgment, I bought Liz a copy of Twilight for the plane trip home. I made her promise not to read bits of it to me, though, as its level of badness just pisses me off instead of amusing me. :/
