I seriously wish so-called Blaine stans would stop bitching about the lack of character development. Also, if people refused to watch this week's episode? Then they honestly have no right to complain about lack of Blaine development because I damn well felt we got quite a bit ( Read more... )

I totally agree with you!

I'm so glad that my dash doesn't seem to be like that. I've only noticed one person in particular that is bitching, and while I normally like her - she's getting on my nerves. Especially when she hasn't even watched the episode.

So I just skip over her posts and concentrate on all the SBL, photosets of Blaine singing 'Cough Syrup' and Faberry wank. ;)

Hmmm Wonder if we're talking about the same person. Because, yeah, hasn't watched the ep. Keeps bitching.

I'm beginning to think I follow too many people. Normally, I love what they have to say about Blaine and Klaine but I can't agree with them on this episode at all. It seems like they've lost their minds over it or something. The only part that really bothered me was Kurt going to the God Squad. It just felt so OOC for him when compared to "Grilled Cheesus", and I don't understand how they couldn't have worked that entire discussion in without that particular environment, you know? And why did he go to Joe, initially, and not Mercedes?? Just to give Joe something to do?

That was literally the only part that really upset me about the episode. *shrugs*

We probably are speaking of the same person.

I thought that was a little OOC for Kurt, but was it you who said that maybe Kurt and Blaine had possibly argued beforehand and that was why he said he didn't have anywhere else to go? I mean, I certainly don't think Kurt was turning to God or whatever. I guess it was just to give him somewhere to voice that he felt responsible without adding in another scene.

Yeah, I had mentioned on B_D that it would have made sense had Kurt and Blaine disagreed over him blaming himself for it or whatever. It's the only way I can truly explain it in my head. I just don't get why they couldn't have chosen a different set up for it. Or even shown Kurt and Blaine discussing and disagreeing over it.

No, but I had this wonderful thought that people would be over it by the time I logged back in (I was also heavily drugged when I had that thought...)

I think I'll need to be heavily drugged to make it through the next 7 weeks... And god forbid what it will be like if "Big Brother" doesn't give them absolutely every little thing they could possibly want in 42 minutes!!

Definitely not the worst ep ever. My biggest complaints are a) it should have had a warning at the beginning of the ep, and b) that entire Kurt/God Squad scene. While there were other moments where things felt... off timing-wise or whatever, that's just Glee. I was pleasantly surprised by actually being shown Blaine's anger over what happened, I was fine with him forgiving Sebastian and the Warblers, the Quinn stuff broke me more than expected and I was even okay with the amount of Karofsky, and the friendship with Kurt ( ... )

This. When I was at my worst, if someone had asked me what I looked forward to in life I would've said there wasn't anything; I couldn't see that I'd ever be *capable* of being happy. It's nowhere near as simple as "think positively".

I just have this huge disconnect between the things I loved about it and the things I didn't. Because I loved so much (everything with Blaine, Klaine, Quinn, the Berrys and the Hudmels, the circle, and I actually didn't hate Finchel), and watching was enjoyable even though there were parts the made me uncomfortable and pissed me off. I have nothing against criticising the show for what it does wrong. But I prefer to vent and move on (though, I admit, sometimes I do overreact, I think we all do sometimes). But ultimately I like to focus on the good and enjoyable. Because at the end of the day, isn't fandom supposed to be fun?

I guess what I trying to say is I understand the anger, but agree with you that there was a lot of good too, so can't we just chill out now.

This is BIOTA all over again.

People made their minds up that the ep sucks because of some out-of-context spoiler and subsequently lost their shit even before the episode aired. Honestly...they've been setting up the Karofsky redemption since the Superbowl ep, and if you didn't see this coming a mile away, you haven't been paying attention.

And the thing is, love this ep for Karofsky and Sebs, that's fine. You like what you like, but don't go forcing your opinions down my throat.

I'm sticking with fic until the hiatus is over. Because right now all other aspects of fandom are making me cranky.
