Your story got all those great comments because it deserves them! This is a wonderful wrap-up and I'm just sorry it's finished. That last part, when Dean lets Cas know just how much he is valued and loved, well *sniffles* it's so sweet! And you know that Cas loves him back! I love how all four of them are a family here. And the reappearance of Dean's half of the heart! Awww!

I hope you write more :D

Thanks for sticking with this story to the end; I really have appreciated you making the effort to comment all along! Honestly, as far as I'm concerned, the SPN fandom is made up of warm and wonderful people, and I'm just sorry that the very few loonies who stalk Jensen are the ones who always make the news.

I'm actually glad this story is finished, because I've begun to question my ability to finish fics--not that I don't know the endings (I always do), but because it seems fate conspires to prevent me from having quiet focus time to write. I will write more in the SPN fandom, but in the short term, I have to finish up a couple of projects I have elsewhere.

I'm also glad you enjoyed the family time; I wish we had more of that in canon, not to mention Dean letting Cas know he's good for things other than, "Do this for me/us, or else." We need more Dean/Cas bonding!

You got them all down to a pat, particularly Dean. This made me smile so much and going 'aww' at them. Really lovely ending to a series story.

You know, it's the funniest thing; I was in Rome back in October, and they had vendors on almost every street corner near the Trevi Fountain selling roasted chestnuts directly from big barbecue-like roasting kettles--and I never bought any! I was starting to come down with H1N1 and I didn't feel like trying new food. So I never got to try them, but they stuck in my mind and somehow made their way into this fic.

Anyway, thanks for dropping in and commenting, and thanks for the compliments!

I got a case of smilies from your comment--you noticed the chestnut theme! Hee! It's not a big deal, but I got a kick out of having Dean make an off-the-cuff comment about chestnuts in the first chapter to the chestnuts becoming Weapons of Not-So-Mass Destruction in the last chapter. Okay, so I have a weird sense of humor.

Thanks for commenting!

Oh, goodness, this was... This was PERFECT. I mean, I'm not a huge fan of Christmas fics, but you managed to avoid all of the bad cliches and reinvent the good ones and just... GAH! Amazing.

Your character voices are all spot-on, 100% believable, I felt like I was watching the best Supernatural Christmas Special EVER because... yes. All of it. Dean being a self-loathing dick, and Sam being prissy and emo, and Bobby being his usual awesome self, and Cas being... so very Cas.

I love your writing style, too. If I started quoting lines as examples, I'd wind up copypasta-ing the whole thing, so I'll just sum it up with a nice round "YOU EFFIN' RAWK!"

YOU EFFIN' RAWK!!!

Thanks for dropping by and for the extremely kind comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the story. It's a funny thing, but I'm not usually one for holiday fics in other fandoms, so it's really odd that I ended up writing one in this one. Hm. Maybe it's because Supernatural seems to lend itself to holidays, although this story fails to live up to the canon show: not nearly enough gore! (No grandpas being dragged up chimneys, fingernails ripped out, cannibalism, etc.)

I also appreciate your compliments about characterization; it's so much fun to spend time with these characters, and I love every last one of them.
