May Cure - Day 1 - Make a List of Projects
I've probably written this list a dozen time in my head. Feels good to finally have it written down. I went through and made a list of every thing I wasn't happy with in the house, big and small. Take that closet
While things didn't quite go as planned I did sort out the upstairs closet yesterday over the course of a few hours. I purged at least a third of the towels so that now everything fits on the shelves. A Quickie
Yesterday I finally had my hands free long enough to finish sewing the edges of the flannelette baby wipes which had been sitting on my sewing table for a month. James is back to being up every couple of hours at night this last week. I've been napping with him so as not to burn out. Navajo or Chain plying
Once upon a time I'd bought 2 tiny packages of Coridale fiber in a bright orange in order to test out my new found spinning wheel. The first one came out all think-thin and over twisted. And adorable first try.

A Weekend Off
My mom was down this weekend. My mom is awesome. I have plenty of evidence. I could ramble off things like how she's been down every other weekend since Jamie was born to help out and give us a break. Sorting all the Clothes - More Pre-Cure Prep
Over the last 2 days I've sorted all my clothes, both those in my dresser and in storage in my trunk. I swapped out all the maternity clothes (about time!) and work clothes I wasn't going to wear any time soon. I failed to get before/after pics of the trunk. Needless to say it was a mess. More Freezer Cooking
Weekend before last my mom was down. Which means I had time to get a big batch of freezer cooking done. With the new baby the freezer cooking has been a life-saver. With the help of my professionally knife trained husband we put together 9 recipes doubled, making 18 dinners! Some new and some now favourties. Took about 2.5 hrs. Both of us ( Read more... ) -
Chocolate Banana Bread
For the record I hate bananas. Can't stand the smell. I used to make Mark leave the room when he was eating them. I've since learned to deal with is as the boys LOVE bananas.
