Well, I've had a very enjoyable 24 hours, starting with getting my sister a (16th!) birthday present (happy birthday, seesa!) on the way to seeing Keren perform in her dialogue for her drama major. On the way to the theater I had an 'only in Israel' experience. I walked into a jewelry store I saw on the way to get a chain for the pendant I got my ( Read more... )

hehe...after you left i got a really good bargain...i went into a store to try on a skirt, and it was too expensive, so i started waking out, and the guy kept trying to take it down 5-10 shekel, and i walked out, and he called after me and was like "wait! this store is gonna give you a purim sameach!"
hehehehe....:)

Daniella told me who you're going as for Purim :D, I wanted to send you this pic of fanart of the character on D.A. to give you some ideas *he has a very distinguished markings in the book that make him visually intersting*: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/32236777/
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I WANT pictures of you, Rose, and Vivi!!!
And please tell me one of you's going to carry a boom box and blare the opening of 'No One Mourns the Wicked'! XD, oh I wish I was there... :( now tell me why you have no one to be your flying monkey though???
And I kept meaning to comment - your poem was very... original :D

You have no idea what I had to go through to decide which Fiyero I would go as - especially since the specific costume I'd be wearing would set the time period of both Rose and Vivi's costumes as well. I decided I wanted to take the costume idea frm the play not the book not because I like his character in the play better, but because a) I like the ending better (hee - happy endings...) b) I can get pictures of the costumes in the play whereas in the book there isn't a full-out description (as far as I can remember) of Fiyero's clothes c) I didn't really want to paint blue diamonds all over my face and hands. If Rose wants to paint herself green, that's fine with me, but I'd rather not.
In any case, the costumes came out pretty well, if I may say so my self (I went with the Shiz-era Fiyero) and we had lotsa fun playing with my camera and taking pictures in character. As soon as I get home I'll try to upload some stuff.
