So now I’m in the home stretch. I only have 4 more days of being at the home office until I get to go back to my normal routine with Will and Alvin. So it’s the end of my first week of training at the main offices in Stratford. So far things haven’t been too bad. The woman that I am traveling with is still being very antisocial and I haven’t even seen her in 2 days. So I found out this week that I would be going on my first trip with Sikorsky for about 2 weeks. Normally I would be thrilled at the thought of travel and getting to see Blackhawks on the assembly line and not ones that have had “special” modifications done by the unit, but this time I’m not. This week is my last week at home and I can’t say that I’m too sad about it. I’ll be very glad to get back to work next week. It’s been rough on not only me but my family as well. Well, I got the offer today from Sikorsky and I am very happy with it! I went ahead and faxed in the acceptance letter. I was offered two positions and took the structural engineering position. The pay is the same and I even got a signing bonus that I’ll get after 30 days. This is a huge deal for me and will allow me to finish both of my master’s ( Read more... )

Well, I am starting to get some good news. I got a call from one of the guys I interviewed with from Sikorsky and he told me that I should be expecting an offer here soon. After 3 interviews last week I haven’t heard anything back yet. To say the least I’m getting a little stressed by just sitting around the house. I have 2 interviews tomorrow with Sikorsky which should go well since I have Blackhawk and Catia experience, but I’m still apprehensive.
