I understand Thomas Pynchon has made a new appearance on "The Simpsons" last November. He had made one earlier appearance on that show, where he looked like a douchebag. There was an interesting article in today's New York Times ["The Character: Playing Against a (Stereo)type"]about one of my favorite actresses, Shohreh Aghdashloo. She had starred in last year's screen adaptation of Andre Dubus III's book "House of Sand and Fog," which was the first time i noticed her. I felt sick and stayed home today. But with an approaching nor'easter i am beginning to wish i had not shaved off a sick day and rather saved it for use, if necessary, on a snowy Monday. Monkey Island II is not as easy as i remember it to be. Curse that LeChuck! Graphics are horrible and there is no voice or music, either. Bah!

Saw Woody Allen's "Shadows and Fog" and "Manhattan Murder Mystery" today. MAde around the same time, with a few years difference between them, the two have a strange connection.
