Final Fantasy Distant Worlds concert fangirling

May 24, 2009 03:22

Yesterday was full of lulz, from the pre-concert stuff, to the concert itself (Uematsu-sensei is sooooo cute) and the post-concert Q&A session.

This will be public for a while, in case sai_rin wants to link to the Q&A section or something. It's like this:

Me: Attended Q&A, missed out on queue for autographs.
sai_rin: Had to miss Q&A to get into the queue for ( Read more... )

Wow, I neglect LJ for a bit and all this exciting stuff happens! I need to look at my friend's list. ;w;

I love how your reported this event, it really makes me want to go too! *w* Its just so sad that they aren't going to Australia...or seem like it. *head desk* I would pounce on those tickets if they were going to be played in Australia. They should come to my state though! :D

Its so cool how you had Eyes on Me played too! ;A; it would be a dream to see Uematsu live, all those Final Fantasys I played and the memories. Wahh I'm so envious of you~ For now I have to go eat my textbooks and study for my exam.

It's okay, I know you come back during the weekends. At least you're studious! >:D

Well, I think they've just started this around-the-world tour and they're in talks with more countries to hold the concert, so I'm sure they'll come to Australia! HOW CAN THEY NOT D:

Uematsu-sensei was mostly sitting in the audience, so it was cute to see him when he sang along for One-Winged Angel.

Thank you~~~! ♥ ♥ ♥ I'm still bummed about the autograph part. I wonder if they'd had that restriction (one item per person) for the session the day before. And yes, Liberi Fatali = win!!!

Ahaha, the Chinese part:
Ni hao - Hello/Hi (I think you know this)

After he said "I can speak Chinese", he went on to say he likes drinking beer. Lol. XD

The lyrics in the song? Which song was it? Memoro de la Stono? The first part sung by the choir is in Esperanto (I guess this word might sound like Espanol, which is really Spanish XD;). Esperanto is supposed to be a universal language. Key word being "supposed".

Heh, if Faye Wong were also there, the ticket prices are going to shoot up real high.

Awww. I kinda feel it's a shame they didn't get to explore Singapore much. :S I thought the composers for the FFXIII games were already settled? Maybe he'll be contributing some songs...

Hm... apparently for the first night, I think you can get signatures on multiple items. But when the ushers decided to disperse the crowd, they were like D: and something changed and they decided to do the one-item thing to get the queue moving faster.

I'm not too disappointed since I'm not very familiar with FF music (my favourite composer is currently Kajiura Yuki). But! I would've been disappointed if I was one of those in the queue from the afternoon show, because the security guards lied to them and said the autograph session would take place elsewhere when the truth was they were stopping the session.

I heard Espa-something, so I thought Espanol. I know Espanol is Spanish, so I was confused and all "Huh? Everybody knows it? More than English?"

Maybe, I checked the FFXIII pages on Wikipedia and his name was credited under the music section.

Maybe the two of them needed to fly off the next day or something, so they couldn't stay that long for the second evening.

I see...I don't feel half so bad now. ^_^;;; Why'd the security guards have to lie to them...? Might as well just let them know the truth. -_- Eh. Maybe they thought the crowd would be easier to control that way. Yoko Shimomura is also another favourite game music composer of mine. Yuki Kajiura is good, but I'm not all that familiar with her works.

Lol. XD

Ah. Maybe it's like FFXII, where he composed just the theme song.

While I may not be a big fan of the game, the musics do get around

And Mr Roth said, "And for you Malaysians in the audience, we're also currently in talks with Malaysian people..." XDXD

Hope you don't mind if I linked this post? ^^

I had no idea either, even though it was reported in Wikipedia. He was actually working as a freelancer after that.

I hope so too, maybe I could take a trip down and visit my KL friends in the process~ :3
