I came this close to saying something on Sunday...I was planning to let the cat out of the bag this weekend anyway, but the mischief-maker in me would've loved to nonchalantly place that feline right in in front of Laura and you at lunch just for the few seconds of stunned silence. Its a shame that using marriage for mischief is considered bad taste ;)

Besides, the ten-year celebration will be attended by our 80-year old grandparents, so we'll have to get the debauchery out of our system before then.

I just wanted to say that I am in awe of your thought processes concerning marriage. To me, that makes so much more sense than making a big fuss at the beginning -- so many people do that and don't even make it to 10 years.

Her current last name is Polish, and thus is well-nigh unpronounceable in most parts of the world, so she'll be taking my (our?) name at some point...it'll be a little while though, since she would have to navigate the vital records bureacracies in three different countries now to make it all work,
