Title: Celebrations Fandom: Star Trek TOS Rating: PG Length: 8,252 Pairing: Kirk/Spock Summary: A series of celebrations throughout the year. Written for ksadvent2009 Notes: Part One can be found here.
=D Thank you! It does seem to happen a lot that I get carried away. Not even just with fic, either. With school essays and everything. I wonder whether it's even possible for me to write something under a thousand words!
Nevetheless, I'm glad you enjoyed. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
Yay, your advent calendar fic is here! I'm so excited; I've been looking forward to your contribution forever since I first saw you had signed up! *does a happy dance and starts reading*
Awww, this was all kinds of wonderful and adorable, and the writing is terrific as always. ♥ ♥ ♥
Here's a list of some of the things I loved best in this: - all the different holidays you invented; now I kind of want to celebrate Peldor and Prixin too... and I second the comments above on being disappointed that Spock declined to celebrate Rumarie. Maybe next year? - Spock's and Kirk's Hope Day candles melting together into one candle - Jim explaining why they should celebrate First Contact Day. Awww... ♥ - Jim and Spock sucking at their candy canes!! - the way Spock seems to be falling more and more in love with Kirk throughout the year, noticing his looks and his smile more frequently - KISSING UNDER THE MISTLETOE!!!
This story is giving me warm fuzzies!!! *happy sigh*
=D Hope I didn't disappoint after such a long wait.
I think that if I ever marry a geeky man, we and our family will totally celebrate these silly Star Trek holidays. I mean, there's nothing wrong with celebrating more things, right?
I liked the idea of the candles melting together. Also, you know how Kirk pries them off the table? I like to think he took them back to his quarters and kept them >__>. I couldn't put it in anywhere and have it make sense, but yes. =)
Also, I have to say that I would very much enjoy watching Spock eating a Candy Cane. And I'm glad you noticed the gradual sort of thing. I was going for that, but to still make it subtle, and I'm glad it came through. I've always wanted to kiss someone under mistletoe (I don't think I've ever seen it in real life, ahah), and I think K/S doing? Cuuuuuteeeee.
I'm glad you got warm fuzzies. Warm fuzzies is what the holidays are all about =). Thanks for reading and reviewing as always, my dear. ♥
Thank you! The Happy is a very good thing to be filled with ;). I quite like the idea of Hope Day too. I might even light my own candle next year. I really appreciate you taking the time to read and comment! ♥
I was wondering whether to make it PG-13, but then I thought, "No. It's just a kiss. Nothing untoward happens. There's no language or violence." I'm really glad it came off as epic though. That's pretty much what I was going for.
This was wonderful; I love Jim's enthusiasm and how Spock just kept on humouring him because he likes it when Jim smiles. I really liked the Yanarian Hope festival, that was a lovely idea. And I adored the last line - oh Spock ♥
