I did another square while watching Obama's speech last night. Yay for idle hands! :) -
No progress lately
I've been a little distracted with other stuff, so I haven't worked on this in a little while, but I've felt the urge in the last day or two, so I think I'm going to watch some movies next week and get going with it again! Slight Change in the Program...
I didn't like the way the darker green yarn looked, so I decided to try to find something better. Jan and I went running around today to every place that sells yarn in town (almost!) to try to find the perfect compliment to the lighter green. I really CAN do this!
Jan came over and helped me figure out the stitches and made sure I could do the different "rounds" of a granny square. And, I think the results are pretty good. I'm confident I can do this! WooHoo!

Welcome!
I am starting a new project. I'm going to crochet an afghan for my little sister, Sharee. I've never made a full afghan before, but my Grandma taught me to crochet when I was younger, and I've practiced along with some youtube lessons I've found, and that combined with my sister-in-law, Jan's, help should get me going on the right track.
