I can't find anything at the local news sites about the deliberately set Tent City fire. I can't figure out if this just isn't news to them--though this was a big issue a few years ago--or whether there is actually some kind of cover up, because downtown Cincinnati is now "cleaned-up", absolutely no begging or panhandling allowed. Apparently Tent City down by our river was burned down--purposefully. One of my facebook friends said one woman was awakened by the smell of gasoline on her, and a guy was standing over her trying to light a match. The whole place went up, no word on whether anyone got hurt other than losing everything. Sheesh.

Yikes. A guy just walked into the library and asked the librarian at the front desk about  a little girl, gave a quick panicked description. He said three girls from this neighborhood are missing, and shot back out.

Linda took me out to lunch at Palomino downtown,  chicken piccata in butter lemon sauce with green beans, creme brulee for dessert. We also had coffee with half-n-half, so suffered the results later with a quick tummyache. Went to the Taft Museum, if you are ever in downtown Cincinnati, it's small but the permanent collection is worth seeing--IMO ( Read more... )
