While I attempt to suss out characters for my Camp NaNovel, and everyone else pulls out their copy of The Bacta War (reading starts today!), let's chat about The Krytos Trap.
EEEE SLAYER OF STARS. There is so much win in that scene. "By the way, I think you look slicker than a Hutt's slime trail in that native garb." Oh, Mirax, all the <3
( ... )
Mirax FTW :) She's in the top 3 for my fave character introduced in this series.
I was saddened and shocked by Tal'dira's fate later on in the series. But he rocks while he's around :)
Yes! When it comes out at the end that Cracken had used the trial as a cover-up for investigations, I wanted to smack him for putting Tycho through it all. But Tycho's nobility is too....stoic? Can I use that word in that way? Anyway. I just wanted to ruffle his hair and give him a hug.
I keep forgetting about Diric, too. When I started reading WG I was looking at it through Wedge/Iella glasses and then I would remember that she was married. I felt so bad for Wedge and his woobie-moment of meeting Diric in this one.
If Corran had gotten out of Lusankya in any other way, I feel it may have made his Jedi status a leeeetle more palatable.
That being said, everyone needs all the hugs in this one, not just Iella. This book was an odd balance of broken people and the pursuit of freedom and justice.
