Just had such a cool time at Odyssey - all the stuff that I had written or Si had seemed to come of really well and all the effort of writing and costume making and prop buying paid off. I had a really good time in the Roman camp on Saturday night doing a murder mystery thing and later got more drunk than I have been in a long time. Consequently,

I'm starting new things, but not sure how ready I am to make a new group. May be a loose gathering of er... loose women. Depending. :-)

I'm thinking of playing the character I played for the senatorial party (warleader). I got engaged to Luscious. Hehe. I've never done marriage plot, wierd. Must watch I Claudius again and again and see how many Livia quotes I can get in, though I will never in a million years be that cool ;)

I based it on the character I played at Odyssey Zero - the greatest group that never was.

Oh! Also must mention that Lucius' player was bubbling over with froth about the murder mystery, in particular the subtlety of the players and being able to see so much just from studying all your faces. He wanted his gratitude for it all to be passed on to the players.

I so would have loved to see it.

That's really cool to hear. It was my big experiment for this time and I pre-cast it, begged borrowed and stole crew from all over. I was really chuffed that I roped in Si White and Ben Mars as they don't generally npc but everyone rocked it. Simon English was very complimentary about his experience of roleplaying with Rome and Simon Manby was enjoying himself so much he accidently made the next party (Greece) run rather late.

I was sorry you weren't there as I was looknig forward to interacting with your character. I love the women from the Bloody Ducks. I was gutted when Tillia died - I had good chats with her on Saturday night and then watching her in the arena I thought, I wouldn't mind a bit of agape in that direction ;)

Heh! Yes, the Ducks women were a marvel to be sure. Well, the non-fighters are still around. Tulia was awesome. Who knows, maybe she'll come back.

I was monstering the Greek do. That too was something else.
